Synopsis

Parris returns to Athens completely broke after twenty years in exile. His strategy: convince his estranged family he is a self-made millionaire and manipulate them into taking him back. His wife Athena's counter-strategy: welcome him with open arms, drain his supposed fortune, and save her failing travel agency — while concealing the fact she illegally mortgaged their home. Neither of them knows the other is running the exact same con. As the parents escalate their mutual deception, their three adult children spiral into their own disasters: Katerina fakes a pregnancy for attention, then desperately tries to get pregnant for real to cover the lie. Kleio lands in a chaotic love triangle that produces an actual pregnancy with an unknown father. Parris's checks begin bouncing across Athens. The travel agency collapses. The bank moves to foreclose. And Parris — now living on the streets — is forced for the first time in his life to use his grifting skills to actually help his family rather than exploit them.

Director's Vision

"Ruthless, high-speed family farce with genuine emotional stakes buried under layers of mutual deception. The comedy derives not from lovable dysfunction but from the specific absurdity of a family so committed to lying that the truth becomes the most disruptive force in the room. Athens is the perfect setting — a city of hustle, appearances, and creative financial improvisation. No sentimentality, no network filler. Ten tight episodes of bounced checks, fake illnesses, real pregnancies, and hard-earned redemption. Designed for SVOD retention through escalating chaos and a family you root for despite everything."

About the Production
