Synopsis

Nick Vance is an eccentric billionaire industrialist navigating global venture capital through instinct and sheer charisma, currently in a state of permanent high-gloss adolescence. His son Alex is a triple-degreed data compliance analyst who treats his entire existence as a series of indexed risk matrices and scheduled deliverables — and who flatly refuses to attend his father's milestone birthday party because of an unindexed compliance deadline. Convinced his son has entered a premature midlife crisis, Nick secretly puts washed-up method actor Jimmy Cross on an offshore corporate retainer as a "lifestyle demolition expert." Jimmy infiltrates Alex's firm, rearranges his files under avant-garde theatrical categories, freezes his access codes, and accidentally signs a binding letter of intent with a predatory hedge fund while method-acting as a senior partner. The resulting multi-million-dollar compliance crisis forces Alex to do the one thing his manuals cannot help him with: improvise. Across 6 sharp episodes, a billionaire who refuses to grow up and a son who grew up too fast are forced toward a generational compromise — delivered via an unscripted keynote speech at a corporate gala that finally merges data precision with his father's raw instinct.

Director's Vision

"Succession meets Arrested Development — high-gloss structural farce with genuine generational stakes. The comedy is derived from systemic anxiety and verbal velocity, not casual banter. Every character deploys sharp analytical tactics and defensive emotional strategies as the rigid architecture around them fractures. A broke method actor as a precision chaos tool deployed against institutional data frameworks. Single-camera, hyper-kinetic overlapping audio-cutting syntax engineered at Foss Productions Athens. Production infrastructure: LA soundstage interiors, Manhattan exterior packages, Athens post-production (40% EKOME rebate), EIKON Group global mastering. Targeting Netflix, HBO Max, and Apple TV+."

About the Production

Unearned Assets is a 6-episode premium half-hour generational satire and dark comedy created by Constantine Ganosis for GSL Productions LLC, targeting Netflix, HBO Max, and Apple TV+. Built as a fully modular, open-archetype casting asset, the series delivers a complete subversion of conventional familial dynamics: instead of a conservative patriarch managing an irresponsible child, it presents a permanently hedonistic billionaire father and a pathologically rigid son who behaves like an elderly bureaucrat before thirty. A hired method actor serves as the precision chaos tool deployed to dismantle the son's sterilized routine and expose the deep absurdity of modern over-optimization. Multi-territory production infrastructure spanning LA soundstage interiors, New York City exteriors, Athens post-production via Foss Productions for 40% EKOME rebate eligibility, and global DCI-compliant delivery via EIKON Group Los Angeles.
