Synopsis

Arthur Vance is on the verge of locking a multi-billion-dollar acquisition with the eccentric, old-money von Hasen estate — until the Baroness demands proof of domestic stability. Single, cold, and pathologically organized, Arthur contracts Clara Brooks, a totally broke and fiercely uncompromising method actress, to play "Mrs. Vance" for a six-week networking runway. Clara accepts — and immediately treats the assignment with terrifying seriousness, entering boardrooms with complete Stanislavski immersion, fabricating elaborate fake marriage backstories, and hijacking partner briefings with unscripted screwball performances that somehow work. Arthur's corporate rival Julian spends every episode auditing the arrangement, looking for the glitch that will expose the fraud. The Baroness finds Clara's bizarre theatrical intensity deeply refreshing, unknowingly anchoring the entire merger to Clara's ongoing performance. By the finale, Arthur must choose between corporate control and the real, unscripted partnership that has quietly opened its curtains.

Director's Vision

"Rapid-fire corporate satire played as high-gloss theatrical farce. The series argues that executive culture — buzzword optimization, PR posturing, compliance theater — is indistinguishable from performance art, and that dropping a genuine method actress into a clinical corporate hierarchy simply makes the underlying absurdity visible. Pacing modeled on Horrible Bosses; industry satire register modeled on Call My Agent!. Production infrastructure: LA soundstage interiors for corporate suites and loft environments, New York City exterior packages on Wall Street and the Upper East Side, Athens post-production via Foss Productions (40% EKOME rebate), global mastering via EIKON Group Los Angeles."

About the Production

Playing the Part is a 6-episode premium half-hour corporate satire and comedy-dramedy created by Constantine Ganosis for GSL Productions LLC, targeting Netflix, Apple TV+, and Amazon Prime Video. Structured as a fully modular, open-archetype casting asset, the series tracks the high-friction collision between a pathologically analytical Manhattan restructuring executive and a radically uninhibited method actress hired to simulate his perfect wife for a six-week corporate runway. Built on the thematic premise that corporate culture and performance art are identical disciplines, the series delivers rapid-fire comedic syntax, high-stakes boardroom farce, and genuine romantic stakes across a tightly engineered 6-episode arc. Multi-territory production infrastructure spanning Los Angeles, New York City, and Athens with 40% EKOME rebate eligibility and EIKON Group global delivery compliance.
